Westown is led by Durban-based Fundamentum Property Group through Fundamentum Dev Co — the team responsible for bringing the city’s long-term vision to life.
Established in 2012 by CEO Carlos Correia and partners Sean and Don Bergsma, Fundamentum specialises in property development, asset management and retail leasing. Its team brings more than 100 years of combined property experience across the commercial, retail and industrial sectors.

Fundamentum’s role extends beyond planning and development. The team is invested in the long-term management, growth and success of Westown.
This commitment will be supported by the Westown Management Association, which will oversee security, cleaning, landscaping and service delivery across the precinct. It will also protect and manage Westown’s open spaces, ecological assets and active green belt.
Together, these structures will ensure that Westown remains connected, vibrant, safe and well managed — protecting its long-term value for everyone who lives, works, visits and invests here.
