THE WESTOWN FOUNDATION

Growth That Goes Beyond Development

Westown is about more than what we build.

As our precinct grows, so does the opportunity to create a meaningful and lasting impact for the people and communities around us. The Westown Foundation exists to help make sure that the growth of Westown creates opportunity that extends beyond the boundaries of the development itself.

BUILDING OPPORTUNITY ALONGSIDE WESTOWN

A development of Westown’s scale creates economic activity, jobs, new businesses and opportunities. For us, an important part of responsible development is finding ways for the surrounding community to participate in that growth.

The Westown Foundation provides a platform through which we can support socio-economic development, skills development and greater participation in the opportunities being created through Westown.

It means thinking about our impact not only in terms of the places we create, but also in terms of the people who can benefit from them.

TURNING GROWTH INTO SKILLS

One example of this approach is the Westown Training Centre, developed in collaboration with the Westown Foundation and Stefanutti Stocks.

The Training Centre has provided training connected to construction and building-related trades, helping to develop practical skills that can create opportunities both within the development of Westown and beyond it.

This is the kind of impact we want to continue building: practical initiatives that connect the growth happening at Westown with the people and communities around us.
